ന്യൂഡൽഹിഃ ഓപ്പറേഷൻ സിന്ദൂരും ഗ്ലാഡിയേറ്റോറിയൽ മത്സരങ്ങൾക്ക് ആതിഥേയത്വം വഹിച്ച റോമിലെ കൊളോസിയവും തമ്മിലുള്ള സമാനതകൾ കോൺഗ്രസ് അംഗം പ്രണിതി ഷിൻഡെ തിങ്കളാഴ്ച ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.
ലോക്സഭയിൽ ഓപ്പറേഷൻ സിന്ദൂരിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ചർച്ചയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത ഷിൻഡെ, തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിന് മുമ്പ് പൊതുജനങ്ങളെ വ്യതിചലിപ്പിക്കാൻ സർക്കാർ ദേശീയ സുരക്ഷയെ ഒരു തമാശയായി മാറ്റുകയാണെന്ന് ആരോപിച്ചു.
“ഓപ്പറേഷൻ സിന്ദൂർ വളരെ ദേശസ്നേഹപരമാണെന്ന് തോന്നുമെങ്കിലും ഇത് മാധ്യമങ്ങൾക്കായി സർക്കാർ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചതാണെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു. ഓപ്പറേഷൻ സിന്ദൂരിലൂടെ എന്താണ് നേടിയതെന്ന് ആർക്കും പറയാൻ കഴിയില്ല. എത്ര തീവ്രവാദികളെ പിടികൂടി? നമ്മുടെ എത്ര യുദ്ധവിമാനങ്ങൾ മുങ്ങിപ്പോയി? അത് ആരുടെ തെറ്റായിരുന്നു “, മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയിലെ സോളാപൂരിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ആദ്യകാല അംഗം ചോദിച്ചു.
ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം ഏറ്റെടുക്കേണ്ടത് സർക്കാരാണെന്നും എന്നാൽ ചോദ്യങ്ങൾ ചോദിക്കുന്നതിന് നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങളുണ്ടെന്നും അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.
“ഈ സർക്കാർ ഒരു ചോദ്യവും കേൾക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല, ഉത്തരവാദിത്തത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഒളിച്ചോടുന്നു”, ഷിൻഡെ പറഞ്ഞു.
ഇന്നത്തെ സാഹചര്യം റോമിലെ കൊളോസിയത്തെ ഓർമ്മിപ്പിച്ചുവെന്ന് അവർ പറഞ്ഞു, അത് വാസ്തുവിദ്യയുടെ സവിശേഷമായ ഉദാഹരണമാണ്, എന്നാൽ അന്നത്തെ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിന്റെ ഒരുപോലെ മോശവും വെറുപ്പുളവാക്കുന്നതുമായ ഉദാഹരണമാണ്.
“ഗെയിമുകളിലും വിനോദങ്ങളിലും ആളുകളെ തിരക്കിലാക്കാനും അന്നത്തെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് അവരെ വ്യതിചലിപ്പിക്കാനും വേണ്ടിയാണ് ഈ ഘടന നിർമ്മിച്ചതെന്ന് പറയപ്പെടുന്നു”, ഷിൻഡെ പറഞ്ഞു.
സർക്കാരും സമാനമായ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ ഏർപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഇന്നത്തെ കാലത്ത് കളികളും വിനോദങ്ങളും മാത്രം പോരാ.
“Just before a major election, a terror attack takes place and the government gets busy with retaliatory action. The government does not know where the terrorists came from and where they went, but gets to launch an attack on a neighbouring country and win votes on that account,” Shinde said.
She said she stands in the House with “anger, grief and a deep sense of insult” on behalf of the soldiers who got to know about the “ceasefire” with Pakistan not from their prime minister but from a foreign leader.
“The terrorists from Pahalgam have not been traced. The prime minister was busy addressing an election rally in Bihar while the victims’ funeral pyres were still burning,” she said.
Shinde also criticised a reported statement of the external affairs minister that appeared to warn the enemy ahead of an attack, asking whether that led to Indian jets being shot down.
“Under pressure from the United States, this government agreed to a shameful ceasefire. Foreign policy has become photo ops with the Indian diaspora,” the Congress leader said, claiming that India’s standing among its neighbours, once strong due to its “neighbourhood first” policy, has significantly declined.
