Four booked for attacking Delhi man over business rivalry

New Delhi, Jul 11 (PTI) A 35-year-old travel agent was allegedly attacked by four men over a business dispute in Delhi’s Rohini, an official said on Friday.

The incident took place around 12.30 am when the victim, Pardeep Kumar, was at his office in Sector 16 in Rohini, he said.

According to the police, a PCR call was received around 12.54 am alleging that three to four people entered Kumar’s office and beat him with sticks.

“A team from K N Katju Marg police station reached the spot and later visited BSA Hospital, where the injured man was undergoing treatment. The victim, a resident of Haryana, told the police that he had an ongoing business rivalry over passenger services with another travel group also located in Sector 16,” said the officer.

In his statement, Pardeep alleged that Sonu Jhakar, accompanied by Naveen (Jhakkar’s cousin) and two unidentified men, attacked him. The accused also allegedly took away two mobile phones from the office table before fleeing.

Based on the complaint, an FIR was registered, and further investigation was launched. Police said a team has been constituted to apprehend the accused. PTI BM HIG
