Skydiving Plans Crash Over Fake Booking
In her latest travel vlog, Archana shared that she, her husband Parmeet Sethi, and their sons Aaryamann and Ayushmaan Sethi had booked three slots for indoor skydiving at iFly Dubai. But when they arrived, the staff told them no reservation had been made under their name.
“We had booked three slots in iFly Dubai, but this lady is saying we have no booking. We have been scammed because the website where we made the payment is not theirs. The tickets are not cheap… Dubai mein hamare paise doob gaye,” Archana said, visibly upset in her vlog.
Family Reacts With Shock and Disbelief
Her husband Parmeet echoed her reaction, saying:
“I am shocked… Thousands of rupees are gone. Pata chale yahi scam hai.”
Even their son Aryaman had noticed something strange during the booking process. He mentioned that the ride duration changed from four minutes to two minutes between the listing and the payment page. However, he dismissed it at the time, thinking, “Scams don’t happen on official websites.”
Dubai’s Strict Rules Couldn’t Prevent the Scam
The incident highlights a growing concern among international travellers: even destinations known for strict cyber laws like Dubai aren’t immune to sophisticated online fraud. Archana expressed her disbelief, saying she never expected such scams in a city known for its law enforcement.
A Cautionary Tale for Tourists
The vlog has resonated with viewers across platforms, serving as a wake-up call for tourists to double-check websites before booking. Many have resonated with Archana’s honesty and expressed gratitude for her efforts in raising awareness about online scams.
Archana’s Work Continues Amid Setback
Despite the unfortunate incident, Archana continues to charm her audience. She was last seen as Mrs. Braganza Malhotra in Nadaaniyan and remains a beloved fixture on The Great Indian Kapil Show.
