Director Maruthi has officially announced the completion of principal photography for The Raja Saab, the much-anticipated romantic horror-comedy starring Prabhas, on November 11, 2025. Sharing a striking new poster on social media, Maruthi described the wrap as a “victorious journey,” marking the end of a three-year production saga that began in October 2022. The film, produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment, features Prabhas in a dual role alongside Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar. Slated for a pan-India release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam on December 5, 2025, the announcement has ignited fan excitement, trending with 1.2 million #TheRajaSaabWrap X mentions amid India’s ₹101 billion entertainment buzz and 467 million social media users.

The Long Haul: A Three-Year Odyssey to Completion

Filming for The Raja Saab kicked off in October 2022 at a custom set in Hyderabad’s Aluminium Factory, Gachibowli, followed by schedules in Kanchipuram and other locations. Delays plagued the production, including a 2023 union strike and Prabhas’ commitments to Kalki 2898 AD, pushing the timeline. By June 2025, 95% was complete, with only three songs and patchwork left; the intro song wrapped in September. Maruthi’s post read: “23 years back he took his first step into cinema. Today he wraps his journey in #TheRajaSaab on the same day… Blessed and fortunate to be part of his victorious journey.” The poster depicts Prabhas in a regal, shadowy pose, hinting at the film’s blend of romance, horror, and comedy.

Maruthi’s Vision: Prabhas’ First Full-Fledged Horror Entertainer

Maruthi’s maiden collab with Prabhas promises a “golden opportunity” to showcase the Rebel Star in uncharted territory. “Super sure The Raja Saab will be a completely different energy,” he teased, emphasizing world-class VFX, 3D CG, and a cursed mansion tale. The supporting cast—Boman Irani, Zarina Wahab, Samuthirakani, Vennela Kishore, Brahmanandam, Yogi Babu, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar—adds layers of mystery and mirth. Music by Thaman S promises groovy tracks, with the intro song evoking Prabhas’ vintage mass charm. Post-production is underway, aiming for a festive December splash.

Fan Frenzy: A Pongal Powerhouse Awaits

Social media erupted: “Prabhas’ Raja Saab wrap—Pongal’s rebel roar is here!” Fans hailed the poster as “spellbinding,” projecting a ₹800 crore opener. In India’s 780-language cinema storm, the film bridges mass appeal with genre innovation.

A Saab’s Supreme Send-Off

The Raja Saab’s wrap isn’t closure—it’s crescendo. As Maruthi crowns Prabhas’ horror debut, it thunders: Can scares summon stardom? The victorious voyage affirms yes, scripting Tollywood’s next thriller triumph.
