GlobeTrotter Event: Rajamouli Announces Tight Security Rules, Flags Possible Cancellation

Rajamouli

Director SS Rajamouli has issued comprehensive safety and crowd-discipline guidelines ahead of the highly anticipated ‘GlobeTrotter’ title reveal event scheduled for November 15 at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. In a video message shared on social media, the acclaimed filmmaker urged attendees to strictly follow police-mandated protocols and cooperate with security personnel to ensure a secure and incident-free celebration.

Physical Passes Only: No Open Access

Rajamouli emphasized that the GlobeTrotter event is exclusively for pass-holders and not open to the general public. In his video message, he cautioned against misleading online claims and fake pass sales circulating on the internet. “First things first, this is not an open event. Only those with physical passes will be allowed to attend,” the director stated. He further clarified that each physical pass carries a QR code containing clear route instructions and video guidance for entry, urging attendees to download and follow these details.

The event is expected to attract approximately fifty thousand guests to the venue, making organized entry and exit protocols crucial for maintaining order and safety.

Detailed Entry Routes and Traffic Management

Understanding the logistical complexities of managing such a massive gathering, Rajamouli provided specific route instructions for attendees from different areas. The main gate of Ramoji Film City on the Vijayawada Highway will remain closed on the event day, forcing traffic through alternate routes. For those arriving from Vijayawada, a left turn before the main gate towards Anajpur leads to the back gate hosting the event. Attendees from LB Nagar and Vanasthalipuram must cross ORR Exit 11, take a U-turn, and use the service road through Sanghinagar, while those from Gachibowli can use Exit 12.

Rajamouli humorously advised fans to ignore shortcuts and follow official signboards leading to parking areas. This guidance comes after the recent AR Rahman concert at the same venue resulted in severe traffic congestion on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada Highway, with vehicles stuck for over an hour.

Age Restrictions and Early Arrival Benefits

The police department has mandated that only adults are permitted to attend the event, barring entry to anyone under 18 years and senior citizens for their safety. Authorities have also advised against bringing children, elderly individuals, and women to the crowded venue. Entry gates will open at 2 PM, and Rajamouli encouraged early arrival to secure better parking and seating.

For those unable to attend in person, the event will be livestreamed exclusively on JioHotstar, providing an alternative viewing option.

Warnings of Cancellation and Past Incidents

In his strongest cautionary statement, Rajamouli revealed that the police commissioner has warned of potential event cancellation if crowd control is compromised. “The Commissioner personally told me that if any unforeseen situation occurs and control is lost, the event will be cancelled,” Rajamouli stated. This stern warning underscores the authorities’ commitment to preventing repeat incidents of past chaos.

The guidelines reflect lessons learned from previous mishaps, particularly the cancelled pre-release event for ‘Devara’ last year, which descended into chaos due to overcrowding, resulting in property damage. More significantly, the event comes months after the tragic stampede during the premiere of Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ in December, where a woman lost her life.

Appeal for Fan Cooperation

Rajamouli’s core message emphasizes that the event’s success depends entirely on fan discipline and cooperation. He urged attendees to follow all security instructions, maintain calm behavior, and avoid actions that could trigger panic or chaos. “For the event to go smoothly, your cooperation is extremely important,” the director asserted.

The GlobeTrotter event marks the first major promotional activity for the highly anticipated film starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran. With meticulous planning and strict adherence to safety protocols, authorities and fans alike are committed to making this celebration a memorable experience rather than a cautionary tale.
