Imphal, Dec 4 (PTI) A large cache of arms and ammunition were recovered in Manipur’s Imphal valley, police said on Thursday.
A .303, a double-barrel gun, a single-barrel gun and a 9 mm pistol were recovered from Loitang Sandum Hill in Imphal West district on Wednesday, they said.
Among the other items recovered were 118 rounds of cartridges, a hand grenade, eight detonators, eight magazines of different types and four hand-held sets, they said.
From the foothills of Ngariyan Hill near Keirao Wangkhem in Imphal East district, a 12-bore single-barrel gun, a 9mm SMG carbine with magazine, two hand grenades and an IED weighing nearly 2 kg were recovered, they added. PTI CORR SOM
