Sawant held a series of meetings during the day to address various issues, including the simplification of procedure for the Atal Asra Yojana, which provides financial assistance for the construction of new houses and repairs.
He directed officials to simplify the application process for the scheme and approve pending applications, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a statement.
The chief minister has asked officials to conduct Atal Asra Yojana camps in every assembly constituency, it stated.
He also held a meeting to discuss issues related to the Dhangar community in the state.
“Sawant chaired a meeting with the Dhangar community regarding various issues related to their houses and forest rights claims,” the CMO said.
Phal Desai, former deputy chief minister Chandrakant Kavlekar, state Advocate General Devidas Pangam and other officials were present for the discussion. PTI RPS ARU
