Kyiv, Dec 24 (AP) The United States and Ukraine have reached consensus on several important measures aimed at ending the nearly four-year conflict, though critical matters concerning territorial control in eastern Ukraine and the management of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant remain unresolved, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy briefed journalists on the 20-point plan, which was presented to Russian negotiators after marathon talks in Florida over recent days. He said a response from Moscow is expected on Wednesday.
The draft proposal, reflecting Ukraine’s priorities, seeks to balance political and commercial interests, safeguard national security, and enhance economic potential, Zelenskyy noted.
