Tirupati, Jan 7 (PTI) Mauritius President Dharambeer Gokhool on Wednesday offered prayers at the Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala.
Officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) received the visiting dignitary and escorted him for darshan.
“Gokhool had darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy and was received by TTD officials, who escorted him for darshan,” a TTD official told PTI.
After the darshan, TTD officials presented the Mauritius President with silk clothes, ‘prasadams’ and a portrait of Lord Venkateswara at the Ranganayakula Mandapam.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is the official custodian of the Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati, regarded as the richest Hindu shrine in the world. PTI MS ROH
