Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has shared a reflective note on learning and ageing, saying he sometimes regrets not learning certain work-related things earlier, adding that the “desire and effort and energy to learn diminishes—with time and age.”

“Speed of inventions… is so rapid”

In his blog, Bachchan said the pace of new systems and inventions is so fast that by the time one begins learning, “time has passed,” and suggested a practical approach: get the basics in place and then hire the best, recent talent and experts to execute the work.

‘Outsourcing’ as the modern solution

He also contrasted earlier work culture with today’s environment, noting that when you are not qualified for a task, it is acceptable to outsource it to experts—a word he highlighted as central to how modern work gets done.
