
Bhubaneswar, Jan 23 (PTI): President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a six-day visit to Odisha starting February 2, during which she will inaugurate several development projects in her native Mayurbhanj district, attend university convocations, and participate in cultural and social programmes across the state.
According to an official statement, Murmu will arrive in Bhubaneswar on the evening of February 2 and stay at the Lok Bhawan. On February 3, she will visit Jajpur to offer prayers at the Maa Biraja Temple, and later travel to Balasore to attend the 12th convocation of Fakir Mohan University. She will conclude the day with a visit to the Jagannath Temple in Puri.
On February 4, the President will tour her native Mayurbhanj district, inaugurating a holiday home at Mahuldiha in Rairangpur, and visiting a girls’ higher secondary school run by the Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste Development Department. She will also unveil the statue of Bhanj Bir Sunaram Soren, inaugurate a sports complex at Baidpur, and lay the foundations for multiple development projects in Rairangpur.
February 5 will see Murmu attending a programme at the Rairangpur Jagannath Temple and visiting the Similipal National Park. On February 6, she will interact with women and tribal youth groups and participate in a summit in Bhubaneswar before departing for Chhattisgarh on the morning of February 7.
