Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 23 (PTI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday conducted a grand road show in Kerala’s capital, Thiruvananthapuram, as part of the BJP’s poll campaign in the run-up to the state Assembly elections.
The road show stretched from Thampanoor overbridge to Putharikandam Maidan, where the PM is scheduled to launch development projects and flag off new trains. Around 25,000 party workers and supporters gathered to greet him.
Modi, standing on the footboard of his vehicle, waved to crowds lining the route, who showered him with flowers and waved BJP flags, while party workers displayed placards reading ‘Vikasita Keralam’ (Developed Kerala).
The event was marked by cultural performances, including local dance forms and drum beats, adding color and energy to the road show. Boards carrying Modi’s image and party symbols were displayed along the entire route.
The massive turnout highlighted the BJP’s efforts to mobilize support ahead of the Kerala Assembly polls and set the stage for the party’s campaign under the Prime Minister’s leadership.
