IAF’s Sarang Helicopter Team Set to Dazzle at Singapore Airshow 2026

Singapore, Jan 23 (PTI): The Indian Air Force’s Sarang helicopter display team is all set to showcase its precision flying skills at the Singapore Airshow 2026, organisers confirmed on Friday. The team will join several renowned military aerobatic squads for a series of breathtaking aerial performances.

In an X post on Thursday, the Sarang team announced: “Singapore, we’ve arrived! The Sarang Helicopter Display Team is gearing up for breathtaking manoeuvres at the Singapore Airshow 2026 at Changi Exhibition Centre. Get ready to look up. This is going to be spectacular!”

The biennial event, taking place at the Changi Exhibition Centre from February 3 to 9, will feature eight aerial displays from six air forces and two commercial aircraft manufacturers. Alongside the Sarang team, the lineup includes the Indonesian Air Force’s Jupiter aerobatic team and the People’s Liberation Army Air Force’s Bayi aerobatic team.

This year, the show will also see the debut of the Royal Australian Air Force’s F-35A Lightning II, a fifth-generation fighter jet, and the Royal Malaysian Air Force’s Sukhoi Su-30MKM, returning after previous performances in 2016 and 2018. The Republic of Singapore Air Force will showcase its F-16C fighter jet and AH-64D Apache attack helicopter as part of its Integrated Display Team.

Commercial aircraft highlights include the Airbus A350-1000 and COMAC C919, demonstrating the latest advancements in next-generation aviation.

The airshow will also host a static display of over 35 aircraft, including military, commercial, business, and unmanned platforms from leading manufacturers like Airbus, Bombardier, COMAC, Dassault, Embraer, Gulfstream, Pilatus, and Textron Aviation. Military assets from Germany, Australia, Singapore, and the United States will also be featured.

This marks another milestone for the Sarang team, which has earned global acclaim for its intricate formations and precision helicopter aerobatics, highlighting India’s growing footprint in international aviation events.
