Ranabaali Title & First Glimpse Out; Release Date Confirmed

Vijay Deverakonda in a still from Ranabaali.

The makers of Vijay Deverakonda’s next (VD14) officially unveiled the title Ranabaali and dropped a hard-hitting first glimpse on January 26, 2026 (Republic Day)—turning the holiday into a headline moment for Telugu cinema. Backed by Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series, the film is being positioned as a British-era period action drama with a strong historical spine.

The First Glimpse: Rage, Resistance, and a “Cursed Land”

The glimpse opens by framing the brutality of colonial rule and the suffering of regions pushed into distress—setting up the story’s world before introducing its central force. The promo then lands its most viral beat: Vijay Deverakonda’s character Ranabaali makes a fierce entry, riding a horse while dragging a British officer along railway tracks—a visual designed to signal rebellion, not restraint.

The caption in the launch material also flags the period setting as “The Legend of the Cursed Land – 1878.”

Ranabaali is officially set for a worldwide theatrical release on September 11, 2026.
