Bollywood actor Bhumi Pednekar has reacted strongly to reports of a child being allegedly sexually assaulted in northeast Delhi. According to police-linked reporting, the incident took place in the Bhajanpura area and involved three minor boys; two juveniles have been apprehended, while another was reported missing along with his family.
Bhumi’s Statement
Bhumi took to Instagram Stories to repost a screenshot of a report on the case and express outrage. Calling the accused “monsters,” she wrote that society is failing because it has not been able to “instill fear” in those who believe they can “get away with sexual violence (sic).” She ended with an appeal: “Wake up India.”

The incident has sparked renewed public concern over child safety and the urgent need for stronger prevention, faster survivor-sensitive processes, and accountability.
