BLACKPINK’s First Major Group Release Since Born Pink: ‘DEADLINE’ Concept Teaser Drops

BLACKPINK {YG Entertainment}

After more than three years since their last full-group album Born Pink (September 2022), BLACKPINK have officially kicked off the countdown to their next era with the first concept teaser for their 3rd mini album, Deadline.

The initial teaser leans into a sleek black-and-white visual palette, spotlighting Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa in minimalist, high-fashion close-ups that hint at a moodier, more controlled aesthetic for the project.

Release Date Confirmed

According to the official notice, BLACKPINK’s 3rd mini album Deadline arrives on February 27, 2026, at 2 PM KST (12 AM ET), with pre-orders already underway.

Why This Comeback Hits Different

The comeback comes after a long stretch dominated by solo runs—while the group reaffirmed its commitment to BLACKPINK activities after renewing group contracts with YG (with individual contracts handled separately).

It also follows “Jump” (July 2025), their first new group track since “The Girls” (2023), which helped set the runway for this bigger project drop.

The Countdown Begins

With the first concept tease now out and the release clock set for Feb 27, BLINKs are back in full theory-mode—reading the styling, the restraint, and the minimalist tension as signals of a sharper, more deliberate BLACKPINK chapter.
