
Mumbai, Feb 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday to hold bilateral talks with visiting French President Emmanuel Macron.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar received the Prime Minister on arrival.
From the airport, Modi proceeded to Lok Bhavan (formerly Raj Bhavan) in south Mumbai for the meeting with Macron, where Governor Acharya Devvrat welcomed him.
The two leaders are expected to review progress in the India–France strategic partnership, with talks focusing on further strengthening strategic ties and expanding cooperation into new and emerging areas. They will also exchange views on regional and global issues.
Macron is on an official visit to India from February 17 to 19 at Modi’s invitation. The visit includes participation in the AI Impact Summit hosted by India, along with the bilateral summit in Mumbai.
