Priya Mani (Priyamani) and Mohit Raina have come on board an untitled Indo–US immigrant family drama, a cross-border collaboration between US-based Red Bison Productions and Mumbai’s Azure Entertainment, as per reports. The upcoming feature is said to be inspired by an extraordinary true story and will explore the emotional and cultural journey of an immigrant family navigating life in America — focusing on themes like identity, belonging and resilience, and looking beyond the glossy idea of the “American Dream.”

Reports say the film is written and directed by Harsh Mahadeshwar, with the storytelling positioned as intimate in emotion but expansive in scale.

In statements carried in reports, Mohit Raina said the project is “very close” to him because it explores identity and belonging “in a deeply honest way,” calling the collaboration a meaningful step toward global storytelling.
Priya Mani echoed similar sentiment, saying she was drawn to the “emotional truth” of the story and described the collaboration as an enriching experience — adding that she hopes it connects with audiences across borders.
Shooting plan and timelines
As per reports dated February 17, 2026, principal photography is scheduled to begin in April 2026, with filming planned across New York and New Jersey, and portions to be shot in Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir.
