In a clip shared by Entertainment Tonight, Turner and Harington—who play lovers in The Dreadful—are seen kissing in character. As soon as the scene ends, both actors dramatically retch and gag for laughs, with the crew audibly cracking up in the background.
From On-Screen Siblings to Romantic Leads
Turner and Harington are best known for playing Sansa Stark and Jon Snow on HBO’s Game of Thrones, where their characters were raised together as siblings at Winterfell. Their reunion in The Dreadful flips that dynamic, casting them as romantic leads in a medieval-set horror story.
In The Dreadful, Turner plays Anne opposite Harington’s Jago, her love interest, against a 15th-century England/Wars of the Roses backdrop.
Actors Joke About the “Weird” Intimate Scenes
Turner previously spoke about the awkwardness of filming intimate scenes with Harington, saying the two were “both retching” while shooting. She also joked that the script was full of directions like “kiss, kiss, sex, kiss, sex,” and quipped, “Oh, shoot… that’s my brother.”
