Why this return is a big deal
Shakira’s India comeback comes nearly two decades after her 2007 Mumbai performance during her Oral Fixation tour—making this a high-profile return for Indian fans.
Music with a purpose
The Feeding India Concert positions itself as an entertainment platform with a social-impact mission—spotlighting child nutrition and hunger, aligned with the UN “Zero Hunger” goal by 2030.
In statements carried by media reports, Shakira also underlined that performing in India is “special” to her, while framing the concert as being about more than music—tying it to children’s nutrition and wellbeing.
