A set of images allegedly showing Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in their mythological avatars from the upcoming film Ramayana recently went viral across social media, creating a wave of excitement among moviegoers. The photos appeared to portray the actors dressed as Lord Ram and Sita, adorned in elaborate traditional costumes and regal jewellery.
The visuals quickly circulated on platforms like X and Instagram, with many fans assuming they were leaked stills from the much-anticipated film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Given the massive scale and secrecy surrounding the project, the supposed “leak” instantly became a trending topic online.
However, as speculation intensified, television actor Ashish Sharma, who previously portrayed Lord Ram in the popular TV show Siya Ke Ram, stepped in to address the controversy.

Ashish Sharma clarified that the widely circulated images are not real. According to the actor, the pictures are digitally altered and do not originate from the sets of the upcoming epic.
In a social media post, Sharma pointed out that the viral image was actually taken from an older visual featuring him in costume and later edited with AI or face-swapping tools to resemble Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. His clarification quickly spread online, putting an end to speculation about the authenticity of the images.
The revelation also sparked conversations about the growing use of AI-generated imagery in entertainment discussions, with fans and industry observers warning against believing unverified content shared online.
