BMCRI’s Microbiology department gets NABL accreditation

Bengaluru, Mar 18 (PTI) The Microbiology Department at BMCRI has received NABL accreditation for a period of four years, officials said on Wednesday.

The department at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI) has been delivering quality services for the past ten years, the office of Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil said in a statement.

From conducting just three tests in 2016, the department has now expanded significantly to conduct 66 tests in 2026, it said.

A certificate has been issued under the medical testing category, and senior officials from the department of medical education said that the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) accreditation will remain valid until 2030, the minister’s office added.
