Araria (Bihar), Mar 23 (PTI) Three youths were killed on the spot after their motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle in Bihar’s Araria district, an official said on Monday.
The incident took place on a four-lane stretch between Palasi and Bathnaha near Chauhan Tola within Narpatganj police station area on Sunday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Arbaz, Sameer, and Ashraf, all residents of neighbouring Supaul district and aged 19-20.
Forbesganj SDPO Mukesh Kumar Saha said, “Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and shifted the victims to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared them dead.” Efforts are ongoing to identify the vehicle involved in the accident, and CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined, he added.
Police have informed the families of the deceased and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination, an official said.
According to eyewitnesses, the victims were riding from Bathnaha towards Narpatganj when a speeding vehicle rammed into their motorcycle and fled the scene. PTI COR SUK MNB
