Bihar Guv, CM, BJP national president attend Ram Navami Shobha Yatra in Patna

Patna, Mar 27 (PTI) Bihar Governor Syed Ata Hasnain, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Friday attended the Ram Navami Shobha Yatra in Patna.

The CM inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

A total of 52 Ram Navami tableaus from different parts of Patna were felicitated by the CM, Nitin Nabin and other leaders at the city’s Dak Bungalow Chauraha here.

According to a statement issued by the BJP, Nabin himself anchored the event.

He said, “Lord Ram symbolises not just faith, but also Indian culture, decorum, and lofty ideals. This pious occasion of Ram Navami conveys the message of unity, service and dedication towards nation building.” The BJP national president urged people to live up to the ideals of Lord Ram and contribute towards national progress.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha, Lok Sabha MP Manoj Tiwari and senior Bihar ministers, including Vijay Choudhary and others, were also present during the occasion.

A massive crowd gathered to watch the tableaus in the procession.

Earlier in the day, devotees thronged temples across Bihar on the occasion, offering prayers and celebrating the festival with religious fervour.

Nabin offered prayers at several temples in the state capital Patna, including the famed Mahavir temple.

Speaking to reporters in the morning, he extended greetings to people across the country and said the values embodied in Lord Ram’s life should guide everyone.

Recalling his association with the Mahavir temple, Nabin said he has been visiting the shrine since childhood and described it as a major centre of faith.

He also paid tribute to his teacher, the late Acharya Kishore Kunal, for his role in developing the shrine.

The chief minister extended greetings to the people on the occasion.

He said Lord Ram’s life symbolises love for humanity, harmony, tolerance, sacrifice and righteousness, and wished people a joyful and peaceful celebration. PTI SUK SOM RG
