Nanded, Apr 1 (PTI) The Met Department has issued a yellow alert for moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in Nanded district for four days beginning Wednesday.
The district in the Marathwada region is also likely to witness lightning strikes and gusty winds with speeds ranging between 40 and 50 kmph at isolated places.
The district administration has urged all concerned departments and citizens to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
Residents are advised to avoid stepping outdoors during thunderstorms. During lightning, people should seek shelter inside a safe building and avoid standing in balconies, terraces, or open spaces around the house, according to an advisory.
The administration has appealed to citizens to strictly follow safety guidelines to prevent any untoward incidents. PTI COR NSK
