Gurugram, Apr 1 (PTI) Large-scale preparations have been made to streamline procurement of mustard and wheat in all grain markets across Haryana, state Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Rajesh Nagar said on Wednesday.
While inspecting the Gurugram’s Sohna grain market, Nagar said that the state government is prioritising the interests of farmers.
The minister reviewed the mustard and wheat procurement arrangements at the market and also interacted with commission agents and farmers. He instructed officials to ensure that complaints received from farmers are resolved on a priority basis.
To strengthen the food grain procurement process, the state government has upgraded the e-procurement portal. To ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience in the markets, necessary facilities and arrangements have been further strengthened to ensure the timely and easy lifting of their produce, Nagar said.
