Krishna birthplace-Eidgah dispute: Krishna temple will be built like Ram mandir in Ayodhya, says seer
Indore, Apr 1 (PTI) Expressing hope for the Hindu side’s victory in the court case regarding the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Eidgah dispute in Mathura, religious leader Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj said on Wednesday the way the Ram mandir has been built, the Krishna temple will also be constructed.
Govind Dev Giri Maharaj is the treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya and the vice-president of the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust in Mathura.
“The Ram temple has been built. The Krishna temple will also be built. It will be constructed as the entire country wishes. The case is ongoing in the court, and there is nothing very difficult,” he told reporters.
Maharaj further said that God will definitely fulfil the wishes of the people in a short time.
Citing the construction of a temple at the birthplace of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, he was questioned about the issue of the Krishna Janmabhoomi temple in Mathura.
Before a brief conversation with reporters, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj attended a programme organised by the Indore-based social organisation “Sarthak” on the topic “Samarpan ke Prateek” (Mahavir, the Symbol of Dedication) as the chief guest.
He said at the programme that for the last 150-200 years, there has been a conspiracy to divide India on the basis of sects, regions, food habits, castes, and languages, the ill effects of which the people of the country are suffering.
“I sometimes imagine what would have happened to this country if the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh had not existed. The geography of this country would have changed, and the country would have been divided into pieces,” he added. PTI HWP MAS NSK
