Amethi (UP), Apr 2 (PTI) Two people were killed after a speeding state-run bus collided with their motorcycle here on Thursday, police said.

The accident occurred near the Durgapur crossing under the Piparpur police station area, when the speeding bus hit the bike, leaving Rehan Ali (40) and Ramzan Ali (60) from Chanderia village seriously injured.

Both were rushed to the district hospital in Sultanpur, where they died during treatment, police said.

Piparpir SHO Shriram Pandey said the bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and further legal proceedings are underway. PTI COR KIS SMV SMV ARI ARI
