Aadhi Pinisetty to Play the Antagonist in ‘Akhanda 2’

Aadhi Pinisetty

Telugu actor Aadhi Pinisetty has confirmed that he is playing the antagonist in ‘Akhanda 2’, co-starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Srinu. In a recent interview, Aadhi said he’s excited to explore darker shades on screen and sees the role as creatively liberating. The film has been described as an upcoming Telugu fantasy action drama.

What Aadhi said about embracing grey shades

Aadhi directly addressed why the part appeals to him:

  1. “I think we all have villains inside us. It’s the situation that makes you positive or negative.”
  2. “Being the person who always does good is kind of boring after a point. Villains don’t have boundaries. You can do whatever you want, and as an actor that is far more interesting.”
  3. He clarified he is not abandoning lead roles: he’s open to hero parts if they have complexity, not just “the good guy who saves everyone.”

On working with Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu

Aadhi praised his collaborators in clear terms:

  1. On Nandamuri Balakrishna: “Balayya garu is an energy powerhouse. What you see on screen is exactly what he is off-screen. He’s such a hardworking, grounded human being, and I learnt so much from him.”
  2. On Boyapati Srinu: He said he has long admired the director’s dedication and called being part of a film led by Balakrishna and made by Boyapati a “huge opportunity.”

Recent work and current phase

  1. Aadhi referred to his recent projects, including ‘Mayasabha’ (a SonyLIV series) and ‘Sabdham.’
  2. He credited writers and directors for shaping strong characters, saying actors are often “overhyped” and that his job is to be honest to the script.

Upcoming (not yet officially announced)

Aadhi said he is working on: ‘Disco’ and ‘Maragatha Mani 2’. He noted that both are yet to be officially announced.
