Lucknow/Mirzapur (UP), Mar 17 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday visited Maa Vindhyavasini Temple in Mirzapur and prayed for the state’s prosperity Uttar Pradesh.
Adityanath offered a red ‘chunari’ (scarf) to the goddess and performed parikrama of the temple, the UP government said in a statement.
The chief minister also reviewed the preparations for Chaitra Navratri and Ram Navami and instructed administration to ensure adequate arrangements for devotees and emphasised on maintaining cleanliness in and around the temple premises.
Adityanath also inspected Vindhyavasini Corridor and nearby stalls.
During the visit, he interacted with some devotees and children and inquired about their well-being and studies.
The CM also distributed chocolates among children.
UP Cabinet Minister Ashish Patel, MLA Ratnakar Mishra, MLC Vineet Singh, along with other local public representatives were also present there, the statement said. PTI COR NAV NB NB
