New Delhi, Jan 23 (PTI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday paid homage to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary, urging the youth of the nation to draw inspiration from his courage and dedication to India’s freedom struggle.
In a series of posts on social media platform X, Shah said, “The name of Bose evokes a surge of patriotism in our hearts. Every youth should read about Netaji’s life and his tales of valour to strengthen their resolve to protect the nation.”
Shah highlighted Bose’s historic achievements, including organising the youth, launching the first military campaign through the Azad Hind Fauj, and declaring an independent India in 1943 by hoisting the tricolour in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
He noted that Bose’s journeys across Germany, Russia, and Japan, enduring numerous hardships, exemplify his unwavering determination to liberate India. Shah emphasized that Bose’s sacrifices and towering personality would continue to inspire generations to dedicate themselves to the struggle for freedom, self-respect, and national sovereignty.
“On the birth anniversary of Netaji, who dedicated his all to the freedom of the country, I pay my respects and homage to him,” Shah added, noting that the nation is celebrating ‘Parakram Diwas’ in memory of the great leader.
