Tamil–Malayalam actress Anju Krishna has been arrested in a drug possession case in Chennai, after the Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Unit (ANIU), South detained eight people during an operation in Valasaravakkam on February 5. Among the arrested is also Tamil industry assistant director Vincy Nivetha, according to reports.
What police claim happened
As reported, the ANIU (South) team acted on a tip-off and tracked a suspected supply chain, later using a decoy customer approach to intercept a car near a landmark in Valasaravakkam. Police then detained the group and registered the case for further investigation.
What was seized
Reports quoting police said authorities recovered 6 grams of methamphetamine, 7 grams of OG ganja, and 15 grams of ganja/cannabis, along with a smoking bong, an LSD stamp, and nine mobile phones. The accused were produced before a magistrate and remanded to judicial custody, the reports added.
