Mumbai, Apr 1 (PTI ) The Congress on Wednesday suspended seven of its corporators in Jalna Municipal Corporation in central Maharashtra for helping the BJP in the appointment of nominated members.

State Congress president Harshvardhan Sapkal took the action against the corporators for a breach of party discipline, said state unit vice-president (organisation and administration) Ganesh Patil.

The suspended corporators are Farukh Sadiq Tundiwale, Imran Khan Amanullah Khan, Farhana A Rauf Ansari, Sunil Ashok Borde, Mayuri Dinesh Dene, Rubina Majid Pathan, and Anil Ashok Tirukhe. PTI MR KRK
