Bollywood actress Kajol has left the internet amused with a hilarious behind-the-scenes memory from the 2015 Shah Rukh Khan-Varun Dhawan film Dilwale. During her appearance on the latest episode of her chat show “Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle,” the veteran actress hilariously recalled her first meeting with co-star Kriti Sanon and the unexpected challenge her height posed during filming.
In a candid conversation that also featured Kriti Sanon and Vicky Kaushal, Kajol recounted her initial first impression of Kriti on the film sets in Hyderabad. “Kriti, I remember my first impression of you actually; it was on the sets of Dilwale. Of course, I couldn’t see without my specs, so I remember I’m standing over there in the heat in Hyderabad. I was like, “Who’s that? Who’s that?” I know most of the people by vague body language, and I’m like, ‘Ye lamba chauda kaun jaa rha hai yaaha se?’ (Who is this tall person going from here?),” Kajol shared, drawing laughter from the audience.
The Birth of “Kriti Heels”
What truly surprised Kajol was not just Kriti’s height but the practical challenges it presented during shooting. The actress revealed that to maintain visual consistency in their scenes together, she had to resort to an unconventional solution—two sets of heels with drastically different heights. “To be honest, her height. It was more the working angle of it. We really had to adjust when we were sitting and doing scenes together. If we had to do a scene where we were standing together, I had two sets of heels. One heel was my regular heel, and my one heel was 5 and a half inches – my Kriti heels! They were my Kriti heels!” Kajol explained, adding that she had to specifically wear these extra-tall heels whenever the two of them had to walk together in a shot.

According to her, her makeup artist experienced unexplained phenomena in her room, with items mysteriously falling off shelves and strange knocking sounds. Apparently, director Rohit Shetty and the team had a humorous way of dealing with the alleged haunting, going around the hotel corridors with ankle bells and chanting to “scare away” the spirits.
