Farah Khan is set to front the upcoming reality show The 50, which premieres February 1, 2026 on Colors TV and JioHotstar. The format is being positioned as a large-scale, high-pressure reality spectacle with 50 celebrity contestants and a game structure designed to feel “unpredictable” and “intense.”

What the Format Looks Like So Far

While full rules are still being kept under wraps, the broad construct is now clearer: 50 celebrities will take on “highly entertaining tasks,” face eliminations, and compete across roughly 50 episodes leading to a final winner. Promos and reportage also reference a masked figure called “The Lion” as part of the show’s in-world authority.

The Audience Angle: Fans Can Win Too

One of the biggest differentiators being reported is the audience participation layer. According to India Today’s reporting, viewers will be able to choose and follow contestants, and the prize pool is designed to be distributed among fans who back contestants successfully through the season. Separately, a TOI report describes a finale mechanic where the winner’s prize is ultimately handed to a fan who wins the finale task, reinforcing the interactive premise.

When and Where to Watch

The 50 launches February 1, 2026. Report notes a 9 PM stream on JioHotstar and a 10:30 PM telecast on Colors TV on premiere night.
