New Delhi [India], February 17: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said there has been a gap between the public image and ground reality of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) over the past 100 years and urged people to understand its ideology and contributions.

Referring to the film Shatak: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ke 100 Varsh, Gadkari said it presents the Sangh’s ideological evolution, social initiatives and role in nation-building.

“As a volunteer, I sometimes feel there has been a gap between image and reality. Unfortunately, this has happened with the Sangh. I invite you to understand its ideology and spirit of dedication and patriotism,” he said.

He added that the RSS has inspired millions of youth over the last century and expressed pride in being associated with it.

The film is scheduled for release in cinemas across India on February 20, 2026.
