Gautam Adani offers prayers at Ram temple, visits gurukul in Ayodhya

Ayodhya (UP), Apr 2 (PTI) Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani on Thursday visited the Ram Temple in Ayodhya with his family on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.

He was accompanied by his wife, Priti Adani, son Karan Adani and daugther-in-law Paridhi Adani. The family participated in rituals at the temple and offered prayers, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust said.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, Gautam Adani said visiting Ayodhya and the Ram temple on the day of Hanuman Jayanti was a very emotional and special experience for him.

He said that he felt a sense of pride and deep emotion while offering darshan at the temple. “Ram temple is not just a religious site, but is also a symbol of India’s culture, unity, and growing self-confidence,” he said, adding that Lord Ram’s ideals of truth, duty, and service are an inspiration for the nation.

Adani paid a visit to Shri Nishshulk Gurukul Mahavidyalaya, about 10 minutes from the Ram temple.

“Today, I also had the opportunity to visit the gurukul and spend some time with the children. In today’s era, gurukuls play a very important role in keeping our culture alive,” he said.

Here, education follows the gurukul system, where students reside on the campus and learn under the guidance of their acharyas, he said.

Gautam Adani interacted with students and teachers at the gurukul.

“When education is rooted in values, it doesn’t just shape individuals, it shapes the future of the nation. It is our responsibility to carry forward these traditions and also be prepared for the times ahead,” he said.

He also said that at a time when the world is rapidly moving towards artificial intelligence, it is essential to preserve and strengthen India’s knowledge traditions.

He said that the Adani Foundation, the social service arm of the Adani Group, will support the gurukul and help set up an artificial intelligence-based lab here, so that tradition and technology can come together.

The gurukul provides free education to around 200 students. The campus has a ‘gaushala’ housing 50 to 60 cows. PTI COR ABN SKY SKY
