Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 has sparked fresh casting buzz, with reports claiming Hrithik Roshan is in early talks to headline the next chapter of the franchise. The speculation follows reports of Ranveer Singh stepping away from the project, though there is no official confirmation from the makers so far.

What the Report Says

Ranveer Singh—who was earlier announced as the new Don—has reportedly exited due to scheduling priorities and shifting creative timelines, according to industry chatter. A report quoted a source saying that Hrithik has emerged as a strong contender and that discussions are at an early stage. The makers are believed to be looking at a star with the screen presence to carry forward a legacy shaped by Amitabh Bachchan’s original Don and Shah Rukh Khan’s rebooted era.

Why Hrithik’s Name Fits the Conversation

Hrithik’s connection to the franchise is often cited in fan discussions. Don 2 featured a moment where Shah Rukh Khan’s Don is shown disguised as Hrithik, and industry circles have previously suggested Hrithik was once considered for the 2006 reboot before SRK was finalised. Many see his action-driven recent filmography and polished screen persona as a strong stylistic fit for the role.

What’s Next

Don 3 is still in development, with reports suggesting filming could begin in 2026. However, with conflicting chatter around casting, the final call will likely only be clear once the production makes an official announcement.
