An average of more than 20 Indian workers died abroad every day over the last five years, according to official data submitted in Parliament. The data, provided by Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha on January 29, showed that total fatalities of Indian workers abroad stood at 37,740 between 2021 and 2025.
