The lineup, attended by icons like Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal, Nagarjuna, Vijay Sethupathi, and Priyamani, emphasizes culturally rooted stories across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin joined the announcement, marking a partnership via a Letter of Intent to boost the state’s production ecosystem.
The diverse portfolio blends returning franchises and fresh IPs, focusing on long-form storytelling and emerging talent. It reaffirms JioHotstar’s commitment to regional narratives gaining national and global traction, with Southern viewers spending 70% more time on the platform than the rest of India.
Tamil Lineup: Bigg Boss and Legal Thrillers Take Center Stage
Tamil leads with fan favorites like Bigg Boss Tamil now hosted by Vijay Sethupathi, and the much-awaited Good Wife S2, starring Priyamani in her lead role as a resilient lawyer navigating corporate and personal battles. The legal drama, a hit since its 2024 debut, returns with Sampath Raj, promising deeper courtroom intrigue and family tensions. New originals include Vishakha, an adaptation of the Hindi series Aarya; Kaattaan starring Vijay Sethupathi; Cousins and Kalyanams; and Moodu Lantharlu with Aishwarya Rajesh.
