Actor-host Karan Wahi has finally responded to the wedding/engagement rumours linking him with longtime friend and co-star Jennifer Winget—and he’s called them false. In a statement shared with The Indian Express, Wahi said: “Don’t know where this came from, but it’s not true.”
He also addressed the chatter on Instagram Stories with a tongue-in-cheek line: “Free ki PR ke liye Shukriya.”
What exactly did Karan Wahi say?
As speculation spread online, The Indian Express reported that Wahi denied the rumours directly when contacted.
Separately, multiple outlets reported that he told Hindustan Times the claims were “Fake News.”
Bottom line: no engagement, no wedding—nothing confirmed beyond friendship, and Wahi has explicitly said the reports are untrue.
Why the rumours resurfaced
Karan Wahi and Jennifer Winget have been a fan-favourite pairing since Dill Mill Gayye, and they reunited on screen in Raisinghani vs Raisinghani (2024), which renewed “shipping” chatter around them.
This week’s spike appears to have been triggered by viral social media posts and reports claiming the two were engaged or planning to marry—prompting Wahi’s clarification.
Jennifer Winget’s response
As of the latest reports, Jennifer Winget has not issued a public statement on the rumour.
