New Delhi, Apr 2 (PTI) Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi was absent from the Lok Sabha during Question Hour when an MP raised a query related to his ministry, prompting Speaker Om Birla to direct the Parliamentary Affairs Minister to take note and ensure it does not happen again.
The question was related to the number of beneficiaries trained under ‘A Scheme for Promoting Innovation, Rural Industry and Entrepreneurship (ASPIRE)’.
Birla noticed the minister’s absence and asked, “Who is the MoS (Minister of State) of MSME? He then asked the Parliamentary Affairs Minister to record the matter.
“Parliamentary Affairs Minister, please take note of it. Ensure it does not happen again,” Birla said.
Manjhi assumed the charge of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in June 2024. He was the chief minister of Bihar between 2014 and 2015. PTI SID MPL MPL
