Maharashtra reports 6 new COVID-19 cases Mumbai, Jul 7 (PTI) Maharashtra reported 6 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, taking the infection tally since January this year to 2,583, the state health department said. Of the new cases, five were detected in Mumbai and 1 in Nagpur, an official statement said. No death linked to the viral infection has been reported since Saturday. The health department said it has conducted 33,556 COVID-19 tests across the state since January 1. As many as 2,483 patients have recovered from the disease so far this year. Mumbai, Jul 9 (PTI) Maharashtra on Wednesday reported nine new coronavirus positive cases, taking the total infection count to 2,603 since January this year, the health department said.

Of these new cases, seven were recorded in Mumbai and two in Pimpri Chinchwad township near Pune city, it said.

No new death caused due to this respiratory disease has been reported since Saturday.

The health department has conducted 34,646 coronavirus tests across the state since January 1, adding that 2,511 patients have recovered till date.

Mumbai has reported 1,030 cases, including 551 in June and 38 in July, till now this year.

Since January, a total of 41 patients have succumbed to the ailment in the state, of whom 40 were suffering with comorbidities. PTI SM NP
