The complainant had been given the authority to get “land mutation” done on behalf of a woman for a property in Revdanda. However, Mapuskar and Dhumal allegedly demanded Rs 5,000 each for the work, said ACB’s Deputy Superintendent of Police Sashikant Padave.
After being alerted, ACB laid a trap and arrested the revenue officials on Wednesday, Padave said. Both have been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
A court has remanded the two in the custody of the ACB till May 10, he added. PTI COR NR
