Man, 60, killed in tiger attack in Almora
Rishikesh, Apr 1 (PTI): A 60-year-old man was killed in a tiger attack on Wednesday in the Mohan Range under the Almora Forest Division, an official said.
Chandrashekhar Joshi, Conservator of Forests (South Kumaon), identified the victim as Khim Singh, a resident of Tadam Gram Sabha.
Khim Singh had gone into the forest to gather fodder and went missing.
A search party, including forest personnel, first discovered his blood-stained clothing and, a short distance away, Singh’s body.
Joshi said camera traps have been installed near the incident site in the forest to track the tiger, and a search operation using drones is underway. PTI DPT NB VN VN
