OPPO has officially confirmed that its new F-series lineup, branded as the “Durable Champion”, will debut in India on 15 September 2025 at 12:00 PM IST. This launch marks a successor to the F29 series, which was introduced earlier this year in March.
Three Variants, One Vision
The F31 5G series will comprise three models:
- Oppo F31 5G
- Oppo F31 Pro 5G
- Oppo F31 Pro+ 5G
Each variant is positioned within the mid-range segment, designed to deliver robust build quality, long battery life, and cost-effective 5G performance.
“Durable Champion” Theme and Design
OPPO’s marketing notably emphasizes durability, hence the “Durable Champion” tagline.
Reports also point to IP66, IP68, and even IP69 dust and water resistance ratings across the lineup, with mentions of a 360-degree Armor Body and ultra-slim construction that further enhance ruggedness.
Design aesthetics vary by model:
- F31 5G: Square camera module with rounded edges in blue, green, and red finishes.
- F31 Pro 5G: Centre-aligned “squircle” camera module; available in gold and grey.
- F31 Pro+ 5G: Circular centre camera unit; finishes likely include blue, pink, and white.
Display, Performance & Battery Specs
Display
- F31 5G and F31 Pro 5G: 6.57-inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate.
- F31 Pro+ 5G: Larger 6.79-inch AMOLED panel, also 120 Hz.
Processor & Memory
- F31 5G: MediaTek Dimensity 6300, paired with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
- F31 Pro 5G: MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chip, similar RAM/storage configuration.
- F31 Pro+ 5G: Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, potentially up to 256 GB storage.
Battery & Charging
All three models are expected to pack a huge 7,000 mAh battery to cater to users prioritizing endurance. Additionally, OPPO appears to support 80 W fast wired charging, allowing rapid top-ups.
Camera Capabilities
- Rear Camera: All models likely share a 50 MP primary sensor paired with a 2 MP depth sensor.
- Front Camera: The F31 5G and its Pro counterparts may sport a 32 MP selfie shooter. Another source suggests the F31 base model might have a 16 MP front camera, with the Pro variants offering better resolution.
Expected Pricing Range
Budget positioning is central to OPPO’s plan:
- F31 5G: Estimated to launch under ₹20,000, making it slightly cheaper than the F29 series that began at ₹23,999.
- F31 Pro 5G: Expected between ₹25,000–₹30,000.
- F31 Pro+ 5G: Likely to be priced around ₹35,000.
Outlook
OPPO’s F31 series aims to redefine value in the mid-range segment by pairing durability, massive battery life, and affordable pricing with capable hardware and 5G connectivity. With a launch confirmed for 15 September, anticipation is growing for how the “Durable Champion” series will fare in the competitive Indian smartphone market.
