
New Delhi, Dec 24 (PTI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a landmark national memorial, Rashtra Prerna Sthal, in Lucknow on December 25, coinciding with the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The complex will also host statues of BJP ideologues Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on 25th December 2025, on the occasion of 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. At around 2:30 PM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate Rashtra Prerna Sthal and also address a public gathering on the occasion,” an official statement said.
The memorial, developed at an estimated cost of Rs 230 crore over 65 acres, aims to honour the life, ideals, and legacy of Vajpayee and other national leaders, promoting leadership values, national service, cultural awareness, and public inspiration. The site features 65-foot-high bronze statues of Vajpayee, Mookerjee, and Upadhyaya.
A state-of-the-art museum in a lotus-shaped structure, covering around 98,000 sq ft, will showcase India’s national journey and the contributions of these leaders using advanced digital and immersive technologies.
The Rashtra Prerna Sthal is expected to preserve and promote the ideals of selfless leadership and good governance, serving as an inspiration for current and future generations, the statement added.
