Rahul Bhat Unleashes His Dark Side in Anurag Kashyap’s Gritty Noir Kennedy Trailer

‘Kennedy’ Poster: Rahul Bhat Goes Rogue

The official trailer for Anurag Kashyap’s long-awaited neo-noir thriller Kennedy dropped on February 8, 2026, and it’s already fuelling intense buzz. Starring Rahul Bhat in the titular role, the clip plunges viewers into a shadowy world of corruption, violence, and moral ambiguity. After premiering at Cannes 2023 (Midnight Screenings), the film finally arrives for Indian audiences on ZEE5 on February 20, 2026.

Rahul Bhat’s Transformation: From Power to Peril

Rahul Bhat plays Uday Shetty alias “Kennedy”—an insomniac former cop presumed dead who lives a brutal double life. As the trailer (and official synopsis) frames it, he works as a cab driver by day and becomes the commissioner’s hired hitman by night, operating inside a corrupt system while chasing something like redemption.

Kashyap’s signature grit is all over the preview: grimy Mumbai lanes, moral rot, and relentless momentum. The tone is noir-heavy—brooding, violent, and psychologically frayed—pushing Kennedy into anti-hero territory rather than a clean “good vs evil” arc.

Sunny Leone Entangled in the Darkness

Sunny Leone appears in a pivotal role, with the trailer teasing her character’s growing entanglement in Kennedy’s dangerous orbit—raising the emotional stakes inside the film’s otherwise brutal, hard-edged world.

From Festival Darling to OTT Premiere

Kennedy first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 25, 2023, and then travelled widely on the festival circuit.

Notably, it also had a global TVOD window via Letterboxd Video Store starting December 10, 2025 (outside India), before landing on ZEE5 for its India digital release.

The trailer itself was also launched as part of the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2026 programming, followed by an interaction featuring Sunny Leone, Anurag Kashyap, and Rahul Bhat.

A Noir Masterclass Awaits

With razor-sharp tension, a bruised noir atmosphere, and Bhat’s intense lead turn, Kennedy looks set to deliver an unapologetic dive into Mumbai’s shadows—where corruption has a human cost, and redemption doesn’t come clean. Mark February 20—Kennedy is ready to go dark on ZEE5.
