New Delhi, Apr 1 (PTI) The Rajya Sabha on Wednesday adopted a resolution to levy additional excise duty on Aviation Turbine Fuel(ATF), also called jet fuel.

The resolution was moved in the House by Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary soon after it met post-lunch and was adopted by voice vote.

The resolution stated that the House approved a Central Excise notification dated March 26, 2026, which seeks to amend the Eighth Schedule to the Finance Act, 2002, to levy special additional excise duty on ATF at a rate of Rs 50 per litre. PTI AO ANU ANU
