Screenwriter Salim Khan admitted to Mumbai hospital

Mumbai, Feb 17: Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan has been admitted to the ICU of Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, an insider said on Tuesday.

Khan is best known for writing Hindi cinema classics such as “Sholay”, “Deewar” and “Zanjeer”, and for his celebrated collaboration with Javed Akhtar in the 1970s.

An insider said Salim Khan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday morning and is currently in the ICU.

Khan turned 90 in November last year. His son, actor Salman Khan, was seen outside the hospital by photographers.
